"Good-bye Jackie! Behave for your grandparents!" Jack's parents called, waving unenthusiastically out of the carriage window.
"Hey, wait!" Jack shouted frantically. "You can't just leave me--" But they already had. The Skellington's horses had begun pulling the carriage and after a moment, Jack's parents disappeared into the forest around his grandparent's property. And they wouldn't be coming back for him any time soon. Jack looked around nervousley, clutching the handle of his suitcase so hard his bones were beggining to hurt.
"Bonjour!"
The voice made Jack jump and clutch his chest. Very hesitantly, he turned around and crained his neck upward. His eye sockets widened as he looked up at his grandparents for the first time.
------
Jack Skellington's grandparents. :3 Since I already typed a lot, I'll just say this: His grandmother (NOT his biological one, by the way) is a buxom young ghost by the name of
Lorelei. She died during the French revolution, hence the floating head. His grandpa, Edward never. Ever. Ever. takes off those glasses. Apparently he's blind. Apparently. Oh, and Jack's not in his usual pinstripes, he gets that suit from Ed.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Man, Jack's grandpa looks so hip for an old dude, like a Austin Powers thing going on.
And I bet his grandma gives literary bone-crushing hugs. She sort of reminds me of a Marie Antoinette poster in which she poses for a bakery product.
